A wedding in three parts.

Why three? Well, we want the people in our lives to take part with the lowest impact on them and why not extend the fun as we do a round-the-world trip.

Questions

1.  What's the vibe of the events?

The Pittsburgh and Melbourne events will be cocktail party style with no formal ceremonies or sit down meals. Come for as little or long as you like!

2.  What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for all three events is festive cocktail. Did you just groan and roll your eyes? Just wear something fun, vibrant and all-out. That could be a crazy dress, patterned suit or fun shirt / blouse. If that’s not in your wardrobe, try some fun socks, handkerchiefs, a hat, anything! Disclaimer: festive doesn’t mean Christmas/holiday/sports teams (Sorry Steelers and Saints fans).

3. What will the weather be like this time of year?

September is still warm in Pittsburgh, a bit cooler in London, and slightly chilly in Melbourne. Check the weather and dress accordingly!

4. Will the events be indoors or outdoors?

All three are indoor/outdoor. Bring a light jacket in case you want to be outside for any part, particularly in the evening.

5. Is there a ceremony, set of speeches?

There is no formal ceremony and they are intended to be free-flowing so people can come and go as they please. Please check and see specific event times. We will look to pause the events at given times to thank guests and allow anyone to say a few words.

6. Are there other wedding events such as rehearsal I can attend?

Nope! But guests who attend all three events can get a prize (TBD).

7. How do I get to the wedding venue(s)?

Check out the address/map under each of the wedding receptions.

8. What time should I arrive?

You can arrive at any time within the ranges provided in the invites, there is no expectation to arrive at the start time or stay the full duration whatever works best for you. Food will be provided at a rolling basis.

9. Where should guests park? Is parking free?

For all three events, there will be limited free parking nearby, but we recommend going car-free. Please use the provided addresses when accessing public transportation / ride shares.

10. Are kids welcome?

Yes! They are welcome. Just make sure to mention this on your RSVP.

11. Can I bring a plus one?

Sure! Just run it past us first. There may be kick-ons after each of the events, which a wider group of people are welcome to join.

12. Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

There are no hotel blocks. But we can always provide some recommendations. Our accommodation will be pretty tight during the trip. Sorry, no couch surfing possible this time.

13. When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

Please RSVP by 1 August 2024. Save the international postage and just RSVP online!

14. Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

All three venues are accessible by wheelchair, but it is possible that other venues after the main events are not fully accessible.

15. Will there be food and drinks during cocktail hour?

We will have grazing tables before dinner. We will look to provide a selection of aperitifs (think spritzs), wines, beers and non-alcoholic drinks. Eat and drink as you please.

16. Will dinner be served at the reception(s)? What kind of food?

We will provide more details closer to the time, but expect dinner and nibbles at all three events. And, of course, a cookie table at the Pittsburgh event.

17. Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free or special diet options?

Yes. We can accommodate for this, please let us know directly and we can tell you what options will be available.

18. Where are you registered?

We are so thankful you will be joining us and gifts are not expected.

19. Should I bring a gift to the event(s)?

Since we are travelling throughout the month, it will be difficult to pack things in our luggage. We will have a wedding guestbook that you can sign in lieu of a card. To reiterate, your presence is the present!

20. Will transportation be provided?

As the events are self-contained, we expect that guests provide their own transportation.

21. I still have questions. What is the best way to contact you?

You can email us at david.thomas.leyden@gmail.com or murphydeclanjames@gmail.com. Alternatively, you can text/WhatsApp +61457091429 or send a text to +14126962410.
